Sara is a North Country native, who has returned to the area to build her mental health practice and cultivate a wellness community. Sara has always identified as a helper and an organizer, which have served her well in growing her therapeutic skills and therapy practice. Sara herself identifies as a client and a therapist, and knows what it is like to be sitting "in the other chair". Sara practices therapy centering around the therapeutic relationship, believing that wellness is achieved in harmony with relationships to others and the self. As a recipient of multiple modalities of therapy, as a client, Sara found that most traditional talk therapies did not bring about the benefit that she was looking for, which felt discouraging. Sara's own journey with therapy brought her to EMDR and DNMS, and the benefit of attachment and trauma wounding resolution.

EMDR is an evidenced based practice that uses 8 phases to restore adaptive functioning after a traumatic experience. EMDR stands for eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, for more information visit https://www.emdria.org.
